The Railband® 630 rail saw is an electrically operated 110-volt units (petrol powered option available), saw that produces high precision cuts quickly and efficiently.
Originally developed for underground use, the Railband saw is also equally beneficial for use overground.
The saw offers greatly improved efficiencies over standard rail cutting methods.
The preparatory work prior to welding, for example, is significantly less, saving around 40-50 minutes per weld.
Additionally, the precise accuracy of Railband allows the rails to be butted up to one another, with the saw being able to take out the required section of rail to facilitate the welding process.
Furthermore, with the average life of a blade being around 20 cuts (experienced operators), the cost of consumables and change over time is also significantly reduced.
